  • THINGS TO DO IN YOSEMITE

    Hey friends!

We just got back from such an amazing weekend at Yosemite National Park. It was such a great experience...I'm already thinking about when I am going back again. Everything we did below is very easily accessible by walking or taking the shuttle bus which was really convenient.

    HALF DOME VILLAGE/CURRY VILLAGE

We arrived on Friday afternoon and checked into our GLAMP site, Half Dome Village. I honestly liked it a lot more than I thought I would. It's basically a village of tents that are already built in for you, fully equipped with beds, linens, AND you even get a light bulb haha. Some of them came with heat, but ours didn't so if you stay here...highly recommend bringing extra blankets because it can get pretty cold.

Curry Village is right next to our village...I'd say about a 5 minute walk or so. They have a grocery store, pizza place, burger spot and even a cafeteria style restaurant. This was super convenient if you forgot any supplies or just wanted to grab some extra snacks or food!

Unfortunately, being at the village - we weren't given a campfire so we had scour through the night for one. We did end up finding a lot of pits that people didn't use so we set up a fire in an empty site! S'mores are my absolute favorite part of camping!

(If you're feeling fancy and hate camping, book a room at the Ahwahnee hotel!)

    GLACIER POINT

OMG. Best sunset experience. The photos don't even do it justice. You can catch the sunset here and watch the sky turn from blue to yellow to orange and eventually a purply pink color all in a matter of an hour. It is just unreal. You can hike up here or drive directly. They even have a parking lot! You can catch the stories I posted on my instagram here to see some live footage for yourself!

    VERNAL FALLS

This hike took us about 2.5 hours round trip. Totally worth it! The views on the hike were amazing, and waterfall was even better. We went "early", around 9am so it wasn't super crowded. We were able to get pretty close to the waterfall and just sat there for 10-15 minutes enjoying the views. You can also continue on for another 1.5 miles to see Nevada Falls, which we didn't end up doing because of the drier season and we weren't sure if there was actually a waterfall flowing.

    SENTINAL BRIDGE

This bridge is actually on the way to Vernal Falls. Some people just stop at the bridge because you can actually see the waterfall from here. If you don't like hiking, this would be a pretty good stop point!

    TUNNEL VIEW

This is the motherload of the views in Yosemite. There's an actual tunnel that you can drive through, and when you come out - you see a perfect view of Half Dome, El Capitan, Bridal Veil Falls, etc. It's just a great spot you can drive up to see it all in frame.
